
Chocolate Orange French Toast
Start your morning with this indulgent Chocolate-Stuffed French Toast! Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and finished with a burst of citrusy sweetness, it’s the ultimate treat for breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients:
- 1 thick slice of brioche bread (approximately 50 g)
- 1 egg
- 50 ml chocolate milk
- 30 g chocolate of choice
- 7 g (1/2 tablespoon) butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 30 g (approximately 1/8 cup) sugar
Toppings:
- Whipped cream
- 7 ml (1/2 tablespoon) Sunwide Orange Syrup
- 10 g (2 teaspoons) Sunwide Grapefruit Sacs
- Nutella (as desired)
Instructions:
- Cut a horizontal slit in the brioche slice and insert the chocolate of your choice into the pocket.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and chocolate milk until smooth.
- Lightly soak both sides of the brioche slice in the mixture, ensuring it's well-coated but not overly saturated.
- Heat a buttered pan over medium-high heat and fry the toast for about 1 minute on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar. Toss the warm toast in this mixture until fully coated.
- Add your toppings: drizzle with Nutella, top with whipped cream, Sunwide Orange Syrup, and Sunwide Grapefruit Sacs for a delightful citrusy finish.
