Strawberry-Basil Sweet Tea
Ingredients:
- 500 grams fresh strawberries, plus more for garnish
- 60 ml Brown Sugar syrup
- 250 grams fresh basil leaves, plus basil sprigs for garnish
- 3 Four Seasons Tea Bags
- 25ml fresh lime juice
- 5 Ice cubes
- 1500 ml water
Directions:
1. Combine strawberries, Brown Sugar syrup and 500 ml water in a saucepan. Boil for 1 minute, then simmer for 15 minutes until thickened. Remove any foam.
2. Blend the strawberry mix until smooth. Stir in basil and let it sit for 10 minutes. Strain through a mesh strainer to remove solids. Chill covered until ready to use.
3. Boil 1000 ml water in a saucepan. Take it off the heat and steep 3 Four Seasons Tea Bags for 5 minutes. Remove and discard the tea bags without squeezing. Add lime juice and the strawberry-basil syrup to the tea. Pour the mix into a pitcher, cover, and chill for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours. Serve the chilled tea over ice in glasses, garnished with strawberries and basil sprigs.
