Wholesale Bubble Tea Supplies in Australia
Sunwide stocks 196 products for bubble tea shops, cafes and dessert businesses across Australia. This page walks the whole range category by category, with the pack formats and yields you need to build a menu and cost it.
If you are still choosing a supplier, start with our ten questions to ask a wholesale supplier. If you are opening a shop, start with the guide to starting a bubble tea business in Australia.
Toppings
The largest part of the range, and the part that separates one menu from another. Forty four products, and only one group of them needs cooking.
- Tapioca pearls — three sizes plus a 50g single serve pack. 3kg bag, 6 bags a carton. About 100 drinks a bag at 30g of dry pearls. Cooked from dry. Full comparison and no-cook options.
- Popping pearls — 13 flavours. 3.2kg tub, 2.2kg drained, 4 tubs a carton. About 73 drinks a tub at 30g. Ready to eat.
- Coconut jelly — seven flavours plus star and heart shapes and rainbow jelly. 3.85kg tub, 4 tubs a carton. About 128 drinks a tub at 30g. Holds its shape in a shaken drink.
- Agar pearls — six flavours in 2kg tubs, including brown sugar and sakura. Ready to eat, no cooking.
- Mini mochi — 300g packs. Chewy, and the usual choice for frozen yoghurt and soft serve rather than drinks.
- Canned fruit and pulp — 14 lines including diced mango, lychee, aloe vera, red bean, taro and sago.
- Topping powders — grass jelly, ai yu, pudding and egg pudding, made up in store.
- Frozen taro balls — seven lines. Frozen ships separately and only to major east coast cities.
Two questions decide most topping orders. Does it need cooking, and does it survive being shaken? Tapioca pearls need cooking. Coconut jelly and agar pearls survive a shake, popping pearls burst. Everything else on this list is ready to eat.
The full list is in Toppings.
Tea
Twenty products, in two formats that suit different sites.
- Loose tea leaves — 11 teas across black, green, oolong and jasmine. Better flavour and lower cost a cup, but it needs a brewer and a staff member who follows the timer.
- Fresh brew tea bags — nine teas, pre portioned. Easier to keep consistent across shifts and easier to train, which matters more than it sounds on a busy site.
Syrups and sweeteners
Thirty two syrups across three ranges, plus six sweeteners. Ready to use, no heating and no dilution.
- Sunwide fruit syrup — the standard range, 19 flavours. 2.5kg bottle, 6 bottles a carton. Shelf life 18 months unopened.
- LT fruit syrup — the premium range, 10 flavours, with the highest fruit juice concentration. Same 2.5kg bottle. Shelf life 12 months unopened.
- CD fruit syrup with pulp — six flavours in a smaller 1.1kg bottle, 12 a carton. Thicker, with visible fruit. The smaller bottle suits a long menu at low volume.
- Other flavoured syrup — brown sugar, longan honey, coconut milk and similar.
- Fructose and sucrose — six lines. Fructose dissolves cold, which cane sugar does not, so it is what most shops sweeten with.
Dosage runs 40g of syrup to 300ml of brewed tea and a full cup of ice for a 700ml drink. That is the minimum. We recommend 60g for the best flavour, which puts a 2.5kg bottle at about 41 drinks.
All three ranges are in Fruit Syrup.
Powders
Thirty one products. Powders carry most milk tea menus, and they are the cheapest way to add a flavour without adding a new piece of equipment.
- Creamer — non dairy creamer and base milk powder. The backbone of a milk tea menu.
- Flavoured powder — 22 flavours including taro, matcha, chocolate, milk foam and pudding.
- Deep fried powder — for shops running a hot food line alongside drinks.
Powder dosing runs about 40g a 700ml cup. The full range is in Powders.
Cups, lids, film and straws
Twenty three lines, and the group most likely to cost you money if you order it in the wrong sequence.
- Cups and lids — 17 lines. We stock 90mm and 95mm rim diameters.
- Straws — jumbo sizes wide enough for pearls. A standard straw will not clear them.
- Takeaway — carry bags and cup trays.
- Custom printing — printed cups and sealing film in your own branding.
Cups, lids and sealing film are matched by rim diameter and the sizes are not interchangeable. Your sealing machine is set for one diameter at a time, so pick the rim size first and buy cups, film, machine and straws to match. Changing later means replacing all of them.
Everything is in Packaging.
Equipment and accessories
Enough to fit out a shop, and enough to keep one running.
- Equipment — sealing machines, fructose dispensers, tea brewers, blenders and tea leaf extractors.
- Accessories — shaker jars, ice jars, milk foam jars and thermos buckets.
A shop can open with a pearl cooker, a sealing machine, a tea brewer, shaker jars and refrigeration. A blender, a fructose dispenser and a milk foam jar can wait until you know what sells.
How ordering works
- Minimum order: none. Buy a single tub to trial a flavour. For large volumes, contact us and we will quote.
- Stock: held in Australia, in Melbourne and Sydney. The Sydney site is for dispatch only and is not open for pickup.
- Out of stock: we take a back order. The rest of the order ships and the missing line goes out when stock lands.
- Freight: calculated on delivery zone and weight. Frozen ships separately and is quoted separately.
- Documentation: ingredient lists, allergen declarations and shelf life are on file and provided when a regulator or auditor asks.
One scheduling note. From October the third party carriers move into their peak season and delivery windows stop being reliable, so order earlier than you would in the quieter months and avoid booking stock to arrive on a Friday. There is more on this in the supplier guide.
Getting a price list
Prices on the site are retail. For business pricing, open a wholesale account. There is also a downloadable product list if you want the range on one page.
If you would rather not build the order yourself, send us your menu and we will work back to the products and quantities. We do menu and recipe development as well, so the answer to what should go on the menu comes from the same place as the stock.
