Duff stands in front of a wrapped pallet with two Gen Alpha testers and runs through a list of questions. Nobody answers out loud. Every answer is an action, and the generation gap shows up immediately.
In this video:
- Eight questions, answered with actions instead of words
- A Millennial and two Gen Alphas, filmed in the warehouse
- Why cup size turned into its own question
What were the questions?
There is no dialogue in this one, just Duff asking and everyone acting it out:
- How do you receive a phone call?
- How do you take a photo?
- What's your go to dance move?
- How do you make a heart?
- How do you roll up the car window?
- How do you drink a bubble tea?
- How big is your cup?
- What's your favourite emoji?
The car window one is the giveaway. One side mimes a hand crank, the other side presses a button. Same question, two completely different decades.
Why does "how big is your cup" matter?
It sounds like a throwaway question, but cup size is one of the first calls a new shop has to make, and it changes your cost per cup, your topping ratio and your fridge space.
We stock three sizes, and most shops settle on one as their standard with a second option for larger serves:
- 500ml for smaller or kids serves
- 700ml which is the size we sell the most of, in both flat lid and U shaped cups
- 960ml for jumbo and share serves
You can see the full range, clear and frosted, flat and U shaped, on the cups and lids page.
Where was this filmed?
In our Clayton South warehouse, next to a pallet of stock waiting to go out. If you want to see the place for yourself, we are at Unit 9/126 Fairbank Rd, Clayton South VIC 3169, and pick up is welcome. Details are on the contact page.
What else is on the channel?
This one is part of a run of videos filmed with the same testers. If you want the version where they actually give opinions, read what they said about Gong Cha, Mixue and a homemade cup.
