Who is the guy on the skateboard?
That's Dom. The caption on the video sums him up: "Ex-Pro Skater Now Legendary Warehouse Packer." No forklift, no pallet jack, just a skateboard and a very good sense of where everything lives on our racking.
The clip opens with a customer asking the question we get a lot: "How did I get my order so fast? What's the secret?" Dom, mid pack, plays it completely straight. "Uh, not sure. I don't do anything different." Then you watch him skate the length of the warehouse to grab a tub off the shelf.
How fast does Sunwide dispatch orders?
The skateboard is a bit of fun, but the dispatch side is not. We pick and pack from Monday to Friday, and orders placed after 12:00pm may be processed on the next business day. So an order in before lunch on a weekday is the fastest way through.
Once it leaves us, delivery time depends on where you are. Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane and Adelaide metro areas are usually 1 to 3 business days now that we dispatch from Sydney and Brisbane as well as Melbourne. Regional areas within those states take a little longer, and Perth, Darwin and Hobart are the furthest out at 3 to 7. Full state by state estimates are on our shipping page.
Two things worth knowing before you check out. We can't deliver to PO Boxes or parcel lockers, so a business or residential street address is needed. And because we dispatch from both Melbourne and Sydney, a single order can occasionally arrive in more than one delivery.
Can I pick up from the warehouse instead?
Yes, with one important step first. Sunwide runs as a warehouse rather than a retail showroom, so you can't walk in and browse the shelves the way Dom does. Place your order online, choose the pickup option at checkout, then wait for the "Ready for Pickup" notification before you head over.
