2.5 Large Tapioca Balls, also known as boba, bubble pearls or black pearls, are the classic soft, chewy tapioca topping in a larger 2.5mm size.

Best for: Menus wanting a bigger-bite pearl, cake and pastry kitchens, dessert bars.

Why operators choose this: The larger 2.5mm pearl needs 25 minutes of boiling and 25 minutes of resting, five minutes longer each way than the standard size, giving a bigger bite for drinks and desserts that call for it.

How to cook?

Prepare 1 cup of Tapioca Pearls and 6 cups of water
Bring the water to boiled, once the water is boiled, pour the Tapioca Pearls into the pot
Cook for 25 mins
Turn off the heat and cover the pot for another 25 mins
Strain and rinse the pearl under cold water
Mix with Brown Sugar Syrup / sugar syrup
Ready to serve
Best served while freshly cooked

How do I cook 2.5 Large Tapioca Balls?

Boil 1 part pearls to 6 parts water for 25 minutes, turn off the heat and leave covered for another 25 minutes, then strain, rinse under cold water and mix with brown sugar syrup.
